World's Largest Rodeo, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, adds Texas Star to lineup 

January 29, 2024: The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo is the worlds largest rodeo, running over the span of three weeks and drawing a crowd of over 2.4 million people. The event is the crown jewel of the rodeo world and boasts an incredible schedule of events including an all-star lineup of musical artists. 

This week, Texas Star, has been added to this year's lineup. The group has quickly become the hottest band in the rodeo world, with appearances at the National Finals Rodeo, an artist residency at the Cowtown Coliseum, and performances for the Cowboy Channel. Texas Star is scheduled to appear on the final day of the rodeo, March 17.

This years lineup includes Blake Shelton, Laney Wilson, Jelly Roll, Nickelback, Carly Pearce, Hank Williams Jr., Oliver Anthony, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Whiskey Myers, Hardy, King & Country, and many more.

Texas Star Adds Award Winning Vocalist Jeremie Hudson To Group 

Nashville (June 27, 2023) Texas Star has announced that they have added award winning vocalist Jeremie Hudson to their already stellar lineup."When we started this group, our goal was to bring together not only an all-star lineup but also guys that would truly be a team, on and off stage.  We have met with several incredible singers and have been honored to have several amazing artists fill in with us on our spring tour. We are thrilled that the search is over, we have found the perfect fit for Texas Star," stated JD Meeker. 

Prior to joining Texas Star, Jeremie Hudson spent years with some of Gospel Music's most prestigious groups including the Imperials and Three Bridges. He has appeared with the Gaither Homecoming Friends and is widely acclaimed as one of the top singers in Christian Music. 

“When we started looking for the final piece to our puzzle, I instantly thought of Jeremie, We have been friends for many years and I knew that not only was he an amazing singer but I knew that he would blend in with the guys perfectly. I'm so excited for our friends and fans to get to know him,” added Matt Felts.

Fans will get a chance to see Jeremie Hudson with Texas Star on their fall tour, starting in August of 2023. 

TEXAS STAR DEBUTS TO SOLD OUT CROWD AT COWTOWN COLISEUM 

Nashville, TN (3/30/23) Texas Star's “Kickin' Up Dust” tour will be packed full of firsts for the breakout country group but their debut appearance at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fprt Worth was a milestone moment. The band has partnered with the historic Cowtown Coliseum to appear as part of an artist residency that will span all of 2023. Texas Star made their first appearance on Friday, March 24th to a sold-out crowd. 

Through the years, legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, and the Gatlin Brothers have performed at the Cowtown Coliseum. “It's impossible to not feel the history of that incredible building when you are singing. We were honored to be added to the rich history of the Stockyards Championship Rodeo and the Coliseum. We are excited to be back numerous times this year,” stated Matt Felts.

Texas Star To Perform Artist Residency Concert Series At Cowtown Coliseum 

Nashville (1/31/2023) Texas Star, cowboy country's newest vocal super-group has agreed to perform at the Cowboy Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas for a series of 12 concerts in 2023. The Cowtown Coliseum is host to the Fort Worth Stockyards Championship Rodeo, the only rodeo in America that is held each and every weekend of the year. The Coliseum is part of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, home to many of the most famous honky tonks in the world and the center of cowboy culture in America. 

Texas Star will appear two nights per month as part of their "Kickin' Up Dust" tour that runs March through June and August through November of 2023. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets quickly, as the rodeo sells out almost every night.

Kerry Kelley Spurs Partners With Texas Star For Kickin' Up Dust Tour 

Nashville, TN (12/19/2023) Blue Tick Records artist, Texas Star announced that Kerry Kelley Spurs have partnered with them to present their 2023 Kickin' Up Dust Tour. "We are thrilled to have Kerry Kelley on board. We are big fans of his artistry, and he represents the lifestyle we do our best to put forward," stated JD Meeker.

Kerry Kelley has made a name for himself and his company in the western world and has become the premier spur and custom bit maker along the way. His products have been seen at the largest rodeos and on some of the top riders in the world.

TEXAS STAR DEBUTS SINGLE AT NFR 

Las Vegas (12/15/22) Each year, rodeo fans from around the world make the trip to Las Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo. They get to see their favorite rodeo stars, hear concerts from the best artists in country music, and shop at the largest western marketplace in the world. This year, fans received an extra bonus as many were able to get a sneak peak of Texas Star's new radio single, "Kickin' Up Dust."

The group was in Las Vegas appearing with sponsors and meeting fans. "The NFR is the Super Bowl of rodeos and we were thrilled to be there," stated JD Meeker.

TEXAS STAR SIGNS WITH BLUE TICK RECORDS 

Nashville, TN (August 16, 2022) Nashville based label, Blue Tick Records has announced they will be in the studio with Texas Star working on a new album. "We are thrilled to work with these guys. They have an amazing sound, reminiscent of great artists like LoneStar, Diamond Rio, Alabama and the Oak Ridge Boys. This album will fit right into any playlist that includes those legendary groups," stated Lee Miller, Blue Tick Records.

Texas Star will be in the studio this fall to begin work on their first project with Blue Tick Records. "We love what they do and know this partnership will produce a project that truly defines who we are," added Matt Felts, Texas Star.

TEXAS STAR TO APPEAR AT CMA FEST 

Nashville, TN (August 17, 2022) Each summer, country music fans make their mecca to Music City, to hear and meet their favorite artists at the CMA Fest. Texas Star was thrilled to announce they have been invited to participate in the most exciting week in the Nashville music scene. "What an honor to perform at such an amazing event. The CMA Fest is unlike any other music event. Fans can not only watch artists perform but they get a chance to meet them. That's what we are most excited about. Meeting fans and making new friends," stated JD Meeker. 

The CMA Music Festival is a four-day music festival centered on country music, hosted each June by the Country Music Association (CMA) in Nashville, Tennessee. Beginning in 1972 under the name Fan Fair, the event now draws over 400 artists and celebrities who hold autograph sessions and perform in concerts offered throughout the festival.

Texas Star's appearance at the CMA Fest will mark their debut at the largest event in Country Music and will fall right in the middle of their "Dirt Roads" 2023 tour.
